is a product of ABS Nexus LLC ("ABS Nexus", "we" or "us"). This Cookie Policy explains how we use cookies and similar technologies on the website and platform. Read it together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage, which let a website save small pieces of information on your device. In this Policy, "cookies" refers to all of these.
Cookies can be first-party (set by us) or third-party (set by another company, such as a payment processor). They can be session cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser, or persistent cookies, which remain until they expire or you delete them.
2. Our approach
We keep cookies to a minimum. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking cookies or third-party analytics trackers, and we do not sell or share information collected through cookies. The cookies we use are needed to run the Services or to remember choices you make.
3. Cookies we use
Strictly necessary (always on)
- Sign-in session: keeps you signed in and links your requests to your account. Kept until you sign out or the session expires.
- Security: protects sign-in, two-step verification and forms against abuse and cross-site request forgery. Kept for the session.
- Cookie notice: remembers that you have dismissed the cookie notice, so it is not shown again. Kept until you clear your browser storage.
Functional (preferences)
- Interface preferences: remembers settings such as your display currency, table layouts, filters and unsaved report drafts. Kept until you clear your browser storage.
- Affiliate referral: if you arrive through an affiliate link, we remember the referral code so the right partner is credited if you sign up or book a workshop. Kept for up to 30 days, or as stated in the affiliate programme terms.
Third-party cookies on specific pages
- Payments (Stripe and Chip): when you open checkout, our payment processors set cookies needed for secure payment and fraud prevention. See Stripe's privacy policy and Chip's privacy policy.
- Single sign-on (Google, ORCID and LinkedIn): if you choose to sign in with one of these services, it sets its own cookies on its sign-in pages under its own policies.
If we ever add analytics or other non-essential cookies, we will update this Policy and ask for your consent where the law requires it before setting them.
4. Managing cookies
- Browser settings: most browsers let you view, block and delete cookies and site data. See the help pages for Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge.
- Effect of blocking: if you block strictly necessary cookies, you will not be able to sign in or use the platform. Blocking functional cookies means your preferences will not be remembered.
- Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control: because we do not use tracking or advertising cookies, these signals do not change how the Services behave. We honour Global Privacy Control as an opt-out of sale and sharing where required by law.
5. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy when we change the cookies we use or when the law changes. The "Last updated" date above shows when it last changed.
6. Contact us
If you have questions about our use of cookies, contact [email protected], or write to ABS Nexus LLC, 30 N Gould St, STE R, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA.
